About the BellaOnline LDS Families Editor

LDS Families
Hello friends! Having now been the editor for the LDS Families site for a whopping three years (my anniversary was 4/19/2009), I feel it’s time to update my bio information. Let’s see—I still have the same name, was born in the same year and place, am married to the same man, have the same children, and continue to be an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. OK, let’s call it good! Or maybe I should give the pertinent info again.

I am Jamie Rose, wife and mother of five young boys, ages 8,6,6,6, and 4. This is a true statistic: over half of my children are triplets. In accumulating this wonderful family my husband and I dealt with infertility, disability, adoption, and financial difficulties, as well as a few of the other challenges mortality holds for us. I have gained a stronger testimony of the Savior and His gospel through these experiences. I know I would be bereft and lost if I did not have the love and mercy of my Heavenly Father and His restored truth as a guide. I have a testimony of all of the truths returned to us with the restoration, and am so grateful for ancient and modern day prophets, as well as the personal revelation available to each of us who seek it. I have been blessed so much more in my life than I probably deserve, and even with all of my faults (oh yes, there are a few) I want above all else to teach my children to know and love the Lord, to follow their Savior, to serve their sisters and brothers in this life, and to live in a way that pleases Our Father.

I am grateful for the opportunity to write on this subject, and to BellaOnline for providing this site among all of its others. The LDS Families site is not overseen or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; I am simply a member and believer. I take this platform and the responsibility to give accurate information very seriously, praying and pondering the topics and matters I write about. The articles that discuss doctrine or principles rely heavily on scriptural references and the official words of the General Authorities.

Thanks for visiting!
